How Aegis collects uses discloses and protects website and customer information

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information handled by Aegis Pest Defense LLC, doing business as Aegis Pest Defense, through its website, online booking, customer communications, service operations, and customer portal. It does not apply to a third-party website or service that posts its own privacy policy.

1: Information we collect

·       Identity and contact information, such as name, billing or service address, email address, telephone number, and account identifiers.

·       Property and service information, such as property type, square footage, access instructions, pest observations, photographs, inspection notes, treatment history, lawns, gardens, pets, wells, water features, and areas requiring special care.

·       Transaction information, such as services selected, estimates, agreements, invoices, payment status, refunds, and discounts. Full payment-card or bank credentials are generally collected by our payment processor rather than stored directly by Aegis.

·       Communications, such as emails, texts, calls, chat messages, reviews, survey responses, and customer-service records. We will disclose and obtain any consent required before recording calls.

·       Device and website information, such as IP address, browser, device type, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, cookie identifiers, and website interactions.

·       Inferences and preferences, such as likely service interests, communication preferences, and customer segments created from the information above.

2: How we collect information

We collect information directly from you; automatically when you use the website; from authorized property owners, tenants, managers, or occupants; from service providers that support our operations; and from public or commercial sources when permitted by law.

3: How we use information

·       Provide estimates, schedule and perform services, document treatments, communicate instructions, maintain service records, and administer guarantees or re-services.

·       Create and manage accounts, agreements, invoices, recurring payments, refunds, and collections.

·       Respond to questions, service requests, complaints, safety concerns, and emergencies.

·       Operate, secure, troubleshoot, measure, and improve our website and business systems.

·       Send transactional communications and, with any consent required by law, marketing communications.

·       Comply with pesticide, tax, accounting, insurance, licensing, recordkeeping, safety, and other legal obligations.

·       Prevent fraud, misuse, safety incidents, and violations of our agreements; establish or defend legal claims.

4: When we disclose information

We may disclose relevant information to vendors that provide website hosting, CRM, scheduling, routing, communications, cloud storage, payments, accounting, analytics, advertising, security, insurance, or professional services. We may also disclose information to technicians and subcontractors working for Aegis; to a property owner, manager, tenant, or account administrator authorized for the service location; to government authorities or other parties when required or reasonably necessary for legal compliance, safety, fraud prevention, or claims; and in connection with a merger, financing, sale, or transfer of business assets. Vendors are permitted to use information for the services they provide to us and as otherwise stated in their own notices or allowed by law.

5: Sale and targeted advertising

Aegis does not sell personal information for money. Aegis does not process personal data for targeted advertising across unaffiliated websites. We do not knowingly sell personal information about anyone under 18.

6: Cookies and similar technologies

We and our providers may use cookies, pixels, software development kits, and similar tools for essential website functions, preferences, analytics, fraud prevention, and advertising. Where required or offered, you can manage nonessential categories through Cookie Preferences. Browser settings may also limit cookies, but doing so can affect website functions. 7: Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing service, maintaining pesticide and transaction records, complying with tax or legal requirements, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, and maintaining security. Retention periods vary by record type. When information is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or securely dispose of it as reasonably practicable.

8: Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information and our business. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure. You are responsible for protecting account credentials and promptly telling us about suspected unauthorized use.

9: Your choices and privacy requests

You may update account information, unsubscribe from marketing email using the message link, revoke marketing-text consent by replying STOP or by another reasonable method, and manage nonessential cookies where our preference tool is available. Transactional messages may continue when necessary to provide requested services or administer an account.

Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to confirm whether we process your personal data; access or obtain a copy; delete data you provided; obtain portable data; or opt out of certain sales or targeted advertising. Aegis may offer these choices even when a particular privacy statute does not require it. Submit a request to admin@aegispestdefense.com. We may verify identity and authority, deny or limit a request when the law permits, and provide an appeal method when legally required.

10: Children

The website is intended for adults arranging property services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from a child under 13 without legally sufficient parental consent. Contact us if you believe a child provided information improperly.

11: Changes and contact
